bass station II, washing machine and composition: E Pots, 2015
(this remix 2019)

We do owe Exile Pots a debt of gratitude and dare I say a shed load of reviews given in recent weeks he’s sent over a wealth of download sets for us to wade through with wonder, all will be drip fed through usual channels over the course of time though not before singling out this little nugget. The aptly named ‘hot point’ really does sound like something cooked up by the Radiophonic Workshop in response to a request for sounds from inside a tumble dryer though what exactly lurks in the recesses of the sealed drum is anyone’s guess though we’d hazard a wager that various Play Dead / Front 242 and Einsturzende Neubauten types are locked in mortal combat pitting their combined wits against the towering might of BBC Maida Vale’s mysterious Wobbulator.
