about

"When every minute seems like an hour... and phantoms come out to slice at what is left of your abraded soul... leaving only the chilling, bitter promise of that hell they call 'dawn'... as little comfort.
Cant' sleep? Well, this should get you off:" - Able Croft

Can't Sleep was improvised/realised in real time, using a small monophonic keyboard played into a looping device to build layers of sound, harmony and melody. Though originally much longer and meandering, it is here presented in edited, shortened form. There are no overdubs, apart from the brief addition of a mumbling voice.

Equipment:

Novation BassStation mk1
Line 6 DL4 looper
Boss DD3 delay pedal
Sony MZ-R37 MD Recorder
